Enrichment Application

Fall 2024 Enrichment Registration Now Open!

Children in the 3-year old and 4-year old classes are invited to sign up for enrichment offerings. These classes meet from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. each day.

Dates: September 23 – December 13, 2024**

** Please note: Enrichment classes will not be held the week before Winter break.

Cost: Pricing and number of sessions per class are listed on the form below.

Application Deadline: Friday, August 2 at 9 a.m.

Enrichment placement notifications will be sent via brightwheel by Monday, August 12.

Please note: Enrollment does not guarantee placement. Enrollment is limited to 16 children per class. Any class with more than 16 registrants will go to lottery for placement.

Enrichment Offerings

MONDAY: ABC with Me!
In ABC with Me children will practice emergent literacy skills such as enjoying books (most important!), letter identification, letter sound knowledge, print awareness, vocabulary, and number sense. Before learning how to read words or numbers, children must learn how sounds and words are made. We will begin each session with a read aloud and coordinating hands-on activities, games, sensory experiences, story retellings, science, and art projects to practice literacy skills. We will also utilize elements from Handwriting without Tears, a hands on to practice fine motor skills, and build hand and finger muscles.

Cost: $336 (12 sessions)

TUESDAY: We're Sciencing!
All aboard our STEAM train! Children will explore SCIENCE through hands on experiments, TECHNOLOGY using our tangible tech robots to learn early coding, ENGINEERING through design and building, ART through color mixing and more, and MATH using patterning and other early number skills.

Cost: $308 (11 sessions)

WEDNESDAY: Little Hands, Big Minds
In Little Hands, Big Minds, children will exercise their fine motor and gross motor skills. Exercising fine motor skills, fingers and hands, will strengthen their small muscles needed for hand eye coordination and future writing skills. Utilizing gross motor skills, large body movements, will help with coordination, balance, following directions, and self regulation. We will begin each session with a read aloud and coordinating hands-on activities, games, sensory experiences, science and art projects to exercise their little hands and big minds!

Cost: $308 (11 sessions)

THURSDAY: Cooks and Books
In Cooks and Books, we will blend well-loved children's literature with delicious recipes! Each week the children will be introduced to a new book and participate in a cooking project based on its theme. Cooking encourages children to explore their senses and become more adventurous eaters as they build cognitive skills by counting, measuring, following a sequence, and observing cause and effect.

Cost: $280 (10 sessions)

FRIDAY: Nature Explorers
Celebrate the great outdoors as a Nature Explorer! We will learn about trees, rocks, the sun, weather and more with hands-on exploration all over our beautiful campus. Children will also help harvest our bountiful vegetable garden. We will be spending time outside as much as possible, so children will need to dress for the weather and maybe even some muddy fun. (We have rain boots!)

Cost: $252 (9 sessions)

Enrichment tuition will be processed through your brightwheel account on Friday, August 23. If you would prefer to pay by Zelle, please submit payment to gmpspay@gmpsglenview.com by Wednesday, August 21 to avoid payment processing in brightwheel.
