COVID Health and Safety Procedures

As a DCFS licensed center, we are mandated to follow guidelines that have been developed in accordance with the IDPH, CDC, and Restore Illinois regarding safe re-opening, health and sanitation procedures, and illness policies. These are specifically tailored to early childhood populations. We will be consulting the CCDPH for guidance should any COVID exposures or cases be identified in our school community.

We will be taking the following actions to protect everyone’s health:

Daily health checks including temperature screening for everyone entering our building.

Limiting persons entering the building to staff and students, except in extenuating circumstances.

Three car lines to allow maximum separation at drop off and pick up.

Cohorts of 14 (2’s) – 16 (3’s & 4’s) students with two consistent teachers and no group mixing.

Separate washroom facilities for each classroom.

Strict cleaning regimens, including the use of non-toxic, child safe, EPA approved disinfectant for daily classroom use.

Deep cleaning by outside service specializing in COVID-19 spraying, disinfecting, and sanitizing.

The health and safety of our GMPS community is our highest priority, and we are committed to following these recommended best practices and procedures while providing an in-person school environment which is so important to young learners. Read our complete Health & Safety Policies here.
